Refrigerator not cooling, freezer not freezing. Can hear fan running continuouisly and an occasional buzzing noise that lasts for about 20 seconds then ends with a clicking sound.

the buzzing and click noise is the ptc overload relay on the compressor, its bad, unplug it off the compressor and obtain a replacement and plug in the new one

My Amana ARB9059CS refridgerator is not cooling. Fans blowing top and bottom. Makes a clicking noise every few minutes. Tried unplugging it for a day, then plugging back in. Did not help.

The clicking noise you hear is a relay trying to start your compressor but your compressor does not want to obey! Compressor most likely is bad and needs to be replaced or all your refrigerant gas has leaked out and would need to be repaired and system re-charger with refrigerant gas. Not a cheap venture either way. Might want to consider getting a new one.

Freezer makes a humming noise and is not freezing

. Cut everything off for a few minutes then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start.
Is the compressor motor running. If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

Not freezing or cooling

The clicking is probably the starter/overload relay which starts the compressor. If the relay is good then the compressor is bad. Check your compressor relay- http://www.acmehowto.com/howto/appliance/refrigerator/check/compressorrelay.php

Side by side not working

Make sure the compressor is running and not just a fan motor.

Unplug the ref for 30 min or so and while you are behind the ref plug it back in, listen for the compressor to start. If you hear a clicking noise and the compressor never starts then replace the relay on the compressor. If the compressor runs and still does not cool then you may have a coolant problem.
