Ihave a hotpoint SDD910 dishwasher. showing error A8 sometimes a10. any help please

Hello Jack Poole,

What I'm getting (here in USA) seems to indicate a UK
appliance ... Really does not matter... The base principles remain the same just the "PARTS" search turns into a "SPARES" search.

Your unit is complaining about the heater element not functioning... which could be the heater or the logic which drives it... and EVERY CONNECTION in between.

Look on your schematic for your heater and logic board
part numbers... and search for those... HOPEFULLY you will also find "helpful videos" from the VENDORS...

The ones on youtube .. VARY WILDLY (from planet to planet).

Hope this helps.

I have a error code on my Hotpoint FDF 780P code reads A-10 can I fix this?

Please refer Hotpoint dishwasher error codes listed on this site.

http://www.ukwhitegoods.co.uk/help/fault-codes/dishwasher-fault-codes/3350-hotpoint-aquarius-fdf-dishwasher-fault-codes.html

Code A10 seems to indicate some problem with water heater or circuit involving water heater and thermostat. These are not easy to fix on your own unless you have some experience with repair of dishwashers. Some tips on fixing this are given here.http://www.justanswer.com/uk-appliance/38uhf-hi-i-hotpoint-dishwasher-fdf780-think-work.html

Fdd914 dishwasher error code A10 appears and its not in the booklet

Hi, the interpretation for error code A10 is: A10 = fill solenoid valve triac closed/open circuit - check valve/ operation - machine drains until level switch resets + 30"

Now, to try and solve the problem yourself: Turn off the water supply to the dishwasher & remove the hose, Run the machine for several minutes in a normal position. Turn the machine off, reconnect the fill hose, turn the water back on then turn the machine back on.

If this doesn't solve the problem, then you'll need to call a service person.
