Question about Kenwood KDC-MP235 CD Player

Audio problem Hi, I just read you post about quitting Fixya and I agree with all of your reasons. Sorry the subject is misleading. I am sending this to you outside the post because I figured less chance of admin sensoring it. I too, think that a new site would be a great thing to get going. I would like to get involved in it some how. My email address is davedegain@yahoo.com if you are interested in a joint venture. I have extensive knowledge of car and home audio, been fixing it for over 17 years and feel that you would be hard pressed to fing anybody better than I am at it. Of course, there is always somebody better, but I know I am good. Just look at some of my solutions and tell me what you think. Check out my profile. Now, I realize that you can not tell just how good somebody is by the solutions, but it is a good indictor. I have some experience with making websites, but that is not my expertise, you can check out one I made here: http://www.newdvdcreations.com This is a little side thing I do, but I can't get much traffic to it. That is my biggest problem with that site. In closing, just let me know if you are really going to try and do something with developing another site. With the proper vetting of experts, a good site would become a house-hold name. my biggest problem with this would be lack of funds. I have had so many medical and financial setbacks that I cannot put a lot of money into anything right now. But I can put some into it, and my time as well. Shared hosting is cheap, but developing the right website might take much more. It would take a leap of faith to trust anybody to join forces on somethnig like this, but with the right people it could be well worth the effort in the long run. Let me know what you think. Dave

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

This posting is not connected with other postings so the subject is lost. Even if the subject were not lost, it is not Fixya policy to exchange information by phone or email. The phone service available through Fixya is at the pay service called 6ya. And it is basically for a 6 minute assessment on how to fix items and whether one can do it oneself or should resort to sending it out for service repair (which does not occur at Fixya nor 6ya whcih has no hardware repair facility. When you submit a question to Fixya, you will receive an email notification that a volunter has posted a response in the Fixya website. The email will provide a link to that reply. The Fixya service is a free service. Volunters offer responses.

Wont read disc

Hi,

This is quite a common problem with the PS3 and is caused by a problem with the laser on the Bluray drive which is malfunctioning and can no longer read the game disk properly.

The PS3 uses a dual laser system. This consists of either a dual refractor type lens or two entirely seperate lenses depending on which pickup is fitted to your particular system. One laser is for reading ordinary DVD disks and PS2 disks and the other for Bluray and PS3 games.

The symptoms you describe are quite typical of a failure of one or both of these lasers.

For more information on how to resolve the problem please have a look at this FixYa Tip on the subject.

Many thanks for using FixYa.

Kodak m380 wont read sdhc card

Hi

There can be a few reasons for this.

First ensure that the little lock protect switch on the card itself is not in the lock position - see image below.

Next ensure that the camera is capable of handling the size of card you are using (Maximum supported card size is 32 GB for the M380).

Finally have a look at my FixYa Tip on this subject as this is troubleshoots a common source or card read failures on these cameras. (See link below). If you find this solution helpful please do take a moment to rate it and thanks for using FixYa.
