I have a eb17b furnace / AC unit. When the heating element is heating up the blower is not coming on. I hear a humming noise, and I shut off breaker then turn it back on it usually starts, but now it will not even click in. What needs replaced?

Motor run capacitor. If problem is intermittent, try wiggling wires from motor to capacitor to check for broken wires. Motor might seem to work ok with no load on bench but it has no real power. The power to really spin the motor under load comes from the capacitor

Check the fan relay. The relay turns the fan on when you use the fan switch or in a/c mode but it does not control the heating mode. Also it could be the motor as heating and cooling are two separate windings. The high speed winding in the motor could be bad.

Do I need a outside cooling unit for a Coleman 7900 Presidential lll gas heat and cooling unit

Yeah, youd have to look at the model on the Indoor coil box, furnace will be setting on top of it. Youll need the model off that coil box to get the correct tonnage of the outdoor condensing unit, you can go 1/2 ton smaller on outdoor for greater efficiency.

Nordyne furnace FEH017HA-04 the fan runs full force when the ac is on but half speed when the furnace kicks in

That is probably normal if it is electric heat to slow the air over the heating elements. Even some gas units do this. Check to see if the unit blower motor has wires for multiple speeds.

Coleman Evcon furnace. Can i make it circulate air?

Your thermostat should have a "continuous blower" setting. Use that instead of fooling around with the A/C setting

I have an old 1985-86 coleman central heat and air need manual

The filter is located before the blower if your Coleman is in a mobile home it will be in the door facing. If it is a standard ac/heat application and a regular residential furnace the blower in the cabinet on down flow (ducts in floor) will be above it and possible in the duct connecting in the top. If its the other way (ducts in ceiling) it could be right under the blower. Either of these could have a filter cabinet on the furnace or could have a filter grille at the end of the return air duct (where the air is sucked in).
