Hi, I was given an external Samsung USB floppy disk drive, which won't work since the CD-ROM device driver is lost. I tried using the online solution, which didn't work. The numbers on the back of the drive are: SFD-321U/EP. I really want to use the floppy disk--any advice?
Here http://www.fixya.com/support/r6260295-samsung_sfd_321u_drivers
You will find SAMSUNG SFD 321U DRIVERS For windows above.
Try for system recovery (oldest date)...
This link has a download for the drivers. http://www.helpdrivers.com/ingles/listado/dow.asp?codigo=966
check the leads that attach this external floppy drive make sure they have a good secure connection
click start control panel administration tools computer management device manager scroll through all of your devices
if you see a yellow question or exclamation mark ? ! or a red X you will need to update the drivers for this device right click select update driver/reinstall driver
if you can see your usb device but its not working scroll to Ports(Com&Ltd) right click to update driver
if you computer came with a motherboard disk the drivers could be on it
or you might have to download one
hope this helps you

Same problem, I received the samsung flopppy disk device and when I went to use it, I found no drivers. Was asked to insert the cd disk and did not have one. How do I correct this problem?
Same problem. I was easily able to make this work on a friend's several year old laptop (with Windows XP I guess) but on my brand new desktop with Vista, it won't work. In searching the net I found what looked like a driver but there were comments in there to the effect that it doesn't work with Vista...........YET. Comments? I have a lot of old photos on floppy disks and really want to use this admittedly antiquated technology.
