nothing will come on. It worked fine the night befor but now nothing works. I put a new battery in the remote & still nothing. I have power to the wall switch. The fan is less than one yr. old.

I have the same problem.

sharper image spire fan (SI868). Squeaking noises when highest power was turned on. Today fan started turning itself off after 2 seconds of being turned on. Now it won't turn on period.

I had a similar issue with my fans. The fix I came up with was my remote was faulty. An easy fix because I had 2 fans with the same remote.
