With Digital, If You Have A Weak Signal Or A Bad Cable Connection, It Can Cause Pixles To "Splatter" On And Off Throughout The Program... Sometimes The Picture Will Freeze For A Second Or Two... Does It Also Happen While Playing A DVD?

The best solution to any Projection TV problems is.... TAKE THAT PROJECTION TV OUTSIDE THE DOOR, IN A SAFEST PLACE FROM YOUR NEIGHBORS... THEN GET A BASEBALL BAT, AND HIT IT LIKE YOU ARE HITTING THE DEVILS HEAD FOR GOOD!!!
(For me, I think on Fidel Castro and his brother at the same time.. hit them up without time out)
THEM, AFTER ALL THIS EFFORT AND SWEAT... TAKE A SHOWER, DRESS UP, AND GO OUT TO BUY A LCD or LED TV (Any size or brand).
YOU WILL BE HAPPY AFTER THAT!
ALL THOSE PROJECTION TV's ARE A WASTE OF MONEY.... NOT ONLY THEY GET BAD ON IMAGE, AND TAKE LOT OF SPACE AT HOME, BUT, YOU HAVE TO BUY THE LAMP, EVERY TWO OR THREE YEARS (those lamps cost too much).

It seems that your DLP Engine is going. The DMD board in the engine is the problem. it is an expensive fix

AFTER REPLACING THE LAMP, I HAD TO PUT THE COVER ON AND NOW THE SCREEN HAS TINY BLUE DOTS AND THE POWER LIGHT STAYS GREEN. THE LAMP LIGH IS NOW ON AND RED

The blue dots are due to a failing optic block. The lamp is only making them show up more obviously. The TV is probably failing as the blue dots will get larger and eventually take over the screen.

There is a red dot near the center of my Vizio tv screen, what is it?

if just a single tiny dot it is a bad or defective pixel in the front panel-usually there from first time the unit is powered up but from a distance may not be noticed--almost never gets worse or increases in size. Unless set is under warranty do not worry about is as a Panel(entire front screen unit) usually costs more to replace then the entire TV.

Little white dots in tv modle# wdt657 what are they how can i get them off

Your TV is DLP projection TV. DLP is Digital Light Processing. Digitally processed light coming out of DMD (Digital Micro mirror Device) is projected on the TV screen. This DMD is made of thousands of tiny mirrors & the size is about 0.7 inch. These mirrors are fixed with tiny hinges for its movement. They reflect light as per processed signal. DLP is invented by Texas Instruments. When there are dots on the screen, that means the tiny mirrors representing the dots are stuck in its position. If the dots are few & the viewing is bearable, just leave as it is. If the dots are more than bearable then you will have replace the DMD chip which is quite costly.

I have a green dot on my screen of my JVC HD52G887

Hello. If it resembles a tiny bright green dot, this is most probably a dead pixel. In the troubleshooting guide in the user manual, the manufacturer states that some pixel loss is normal--either they will be gone or permanently "on". If the unit is new(i.e. still under some warranty) talk with the supplier about options--they *may* decide to replace it if the dot is in a particularly annoying location. Be aware though, they won't be under obligation to do so. I own a LCD projector with a few visible pixels--as devices such as these(lcd tv's, projectors, plasma, etc.) age, this type of phenomenon is going to occur. Normally--and this certainly isn't always true, there is a tolerance of 3-9 pixels. Check with the supplier and/or manufacturer for individual specs. Especially if the unit is under warranty!--Hope I successfully assisted you.---Rick

Problem with wacthind dvd in full screen and black dot on screen

Not sure I understand the half of the tv and half of the dvd player. Are you saying about mid way of your set is cut off and like the bottom half you have a picture and the top no picture? I can explain the dot, first you can open back of set and maybe take off hole back bezel. Get where you can put your head down in front of C R T's (tubes) and look down in them and see if you see the same thing in one or all three of the tubes. If so this explain the dot. The half problem sounds like vertical is missing. Not sure yet! Need feed back
