ALWAYS UNPLUG YOUR DRYER BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO DO ANY WORK ON IT.
Sounds like your problem may be a broken belt, or the belt may have slipped off of the motor pulley, or idler arm pulley.
If you have to replace your drum belt and if you have a front loading machine.
Remove the electrical console that holds the timer switch, start switch, etc. from the top of the dryer.
Be real careful not to knock any of the wires off of the timer switch.
Remove the lint filter, and the two screws that hold the lint filter housing to the top of the lid.
Then remove the top of the dryer.
Most lids clip on to the base of the machine, some slide off.
Remove the front of the machine, this will expose the belt and drum, remove
the drum and belt and this will expose the drum rollers, idler arm bracket
with pulley, and motor with pulley.
Pay attention to the route of the belt, this will come in handy when you go
to reinstall the belt and drum.
Sometimes the belt will slip off of the idler arm or motor causing the drum
not to turn.
While you have the drum out, I would recommend that you lubricate the drum
rollers at the shaft of the roller with a good grade of machine oil like 3
in One oil. This will save you a problem later with the rollers getting
noisy, also check your drum rollers for flat spots, if they have flat spots
on them this will cause a noise like a thumping type noise.
You will need to replace the drum rollers if they have flat spots on them.

Subaru EJ20 running rough after replacing snapped timing belt

I would suspect a bent valve or two when the belt snapped. Verify the belt installation is correct and the timing marks line up. Do a compression test. If a valve is bent, the head has to come off and the valve(s) replaced.

usually when the timing belt snaps it damages the valves also you have to get the head valves checked for damage if they are damaged its $$$ you have to replace if the head is not broken also
if so
you need to replace the valves
valve guaides
valve seals
and get it valve grinding

it has to go to a workshop dont try to crank the engine again as if something saved will be saved
but if you keep trying you can damage more parts

I have replaced the mower drive belt..the belt from the tractor to the mower deck 4 times...usually after only 2 or 3 uses and at about 50 bucks a pop each time. After the 2nd time I replaced a pully that...

Considering what you are paying for belts, I would very much suggest you schedule a repair at the shop. Less cost. Also, if it still snaps a belt right after they have had it in, they will replace it. Very odd, the clean snapping. Makes me wonder if there is a malformed surface contacting the belt intermittently. Serpentine belt snapped 2 days in a row, the belt was burning the other day but today it just snapped and my anti freeze started to come out

A burning belt usually indicates a seized idler pulley on those gm cars. You will have to find which pulley is seized and change, it before replacing the belt or the new belt will only burn and snap again.

I have a Renault Megane 1.4 2000 model the timing belt has not snapped but the teeth on the belt have broken away which in turn will not allow the timing belt to rotate. Would this be just as bad as the...

Yes it is as bad as the belt snapping, if your lucky there will be cutaways in the pistons so the valves may not have touched, its a bit tricky to check until you replace the belt and can check valve clearances and cylnder compressions,
or remove the head and check.
If you replace the belt it is often recommented to replace any bearings and pulleys as well, as a tight bearing may be the initial cause.

Belt constantly snapping

Make certain the belt is twisted the correct direction and that the brush is free to rotate. If the belt is twisted the wrong way it will probably come off or breake
