Hello & Welcome to FixYa

LE error in your LG front load washer is displayed when either the motor is not working or the control board thinks that the motor is locked up. A Hall effect sensor is used in these washer which monitors the speed and direction of the motor and then forwards this information to the control board. Hope you understand by now that this LE error is displayed when their is an issue with the motor or when the hall effect sensor sends wrong signal to the control. Conclusion is you'll have to check both motor and hall sesor and replace the part# that is bad, usually I have seen the sensor going bad. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

It stops mid cycle and at the digital display it flashes " LE " . What is wrong????

The 'LE' error message indicates the control board has detected that the motor is either not turning, or has locked up for some reason. Monitoring the motor is the job of the hall effect sensor board which constantly determines the direction and speed of the motor and feeds that information back to the control board. If there is a problem between what the motor should be doing and what the hall effect sensor says the motor is doing, the 'LE' will be displayed and the cycle will be stopped.
Motor lock can be caused by several things from a loose connector, to a bad motor, or even the hall effect sensor failing or dislodging from it's mount. Any one or more of these components could have caused this error.
This error can sometimes present because of a miscommunication between the control panel and the wash motor. In this instance, the washer simply needs to be reset.

Step 1: Unplug the washing machine.

Step 2: While the washer remains unplugged, press and hold the [Start/Pause] button on the front panel for 5 seconds.

Step 3: Plug the unit back in, and run a rinse and spin cycle to test if the LE code is cleared.

The "LE" light comes on. It says to call for

LE: water level sensor problem
Screens clogged on valve, low water, kinked hose, bad water valve. NOTE: all these washer have a rubber hose from tub to control which judges water pressure as the water rises. It could be something as simple as blowing out any sediment that may be in the bottom of the tub.

My maytag washer mah-24 have a "nd" msg. which mean "not draining" and now i cannot open the door to take the clothes out. pls. help.

Unlocking the door:
Turn on the washer, but don't start any wash cycles. After a few minutes, the door should unlock itself.

Troubleshooting the "nd" message:
"nd" means "no drain". Empty the (now unlocked) washer and fill the wash tub with just enough water to see a bit of water at the bottom of the tub. Run a drain cycle and check a) if it drains and b) if there are any unusual noises while it is draining. If either event occurs during the drain cycle, the drain pump may have to be repaired/replaced.

I'm getting the error message LE which says motor overload. I've read some comments on line that people have drained the water unplugged the machine for a couple of hours and the error message went away...

Hello,

LE code stands for locked motor error. When this error code appears in your front load washer it indicates a fault in the motor unit.

1 . Check the connections to the Coil/Stator at the rear of the unit possibly it should be something like a broken wire.

2 . Coil/Stator Assembly will be defective preventing the drive to operate. You should go for a replacement of that assembly.

Thanks

I am getting an message LE. I am trying to wash

LE unfortunately is the fault code for a faulty Hall sensor or faulty Motor. The Hall sensor is attached to the motor. If you have or can borrow an electrical test meter the I can guide you throe the testing.80% of the time it is the Hall sensor.Hope this helps please reply for further help.

LE Error message

"LE" means overload in motor. When we first got our LD washer we had similar problems. I evenually concluded it was related to adding too much detergent. My suggestion is remove everything and run the machine thru the cycle empty a couple of times with just water. If you cannot get it to run, try draining the water though the drain at the front lower corner. Then using a jug add some hot water in the soap dispenser to flush some of the detergent, and drain that. See if the machine will now run thru a cycle with just water. In our case we were able to get it to run after it sat for a day, perhaps the motor need to cool, I am not sure why. It was tough to get the machine going but once we flushed it and used a LITTLE high efficiency soap with loads we have had no more problems except once when my son did a load with lots of detergent. Then we followed the steps above and were back in business. Hope this help you.
