Why won't my Kenwood car stereo recognize all the music on my flash drive?

I have the exact problem so I looked at the owners manual which referred me to a url. Bottom line, Kenwood only will look at 255 folders, my guess is it thought my individual songs (1099 so far) were folders. So I made 4 folders and to be safe, no more than 250 tracks, plugged it into my player, set it to random, and it works (so Far). So i theory you should be able to go up to 65000 files, provide you have a flashdrive big enough

I have a vr-255 receiver and the power light flashes

Hi Willie,

If the standby indicator is blinking that just means that the speaker wires are short circuited some where. Make sure all of the wires are intact, unplug everything starting with the power. Then you will want to make sure all wires going to the receiver are not kinked / twisted / or exposed. If all wires look good, plug everything back in and power on the unit. you should be good to go.

My pioneer cdj 500 doesn't open, makes a slight noise when the button is pressed and comes up with error code E91

If you know how to open the unit,it's good.If not and you trying to fix it,i have a tip when first opening a unit look for the screw hide under the label or in the rubber footings. When you open it half close it again, close open tecnic this is step by step,so you cannot forgot when it place and classified screw big and small so it's easy to get back. The main problemcannot be open.Under the button of switch to open there be a small switch there.A tacking switch clean that switch with the use of a lighter fluid or acontact cleaner and all button switches.Dirt can produce a scratching sound and error. When cleaning press the button hard so dirt comes out. That's all txt me the result.

My hi-fi refuses to play CDs! it comes up with a 'no disc' error when there really is a disc there.

The "no disc" error message indicates that the unit failed to read the disc. There can be a number of reasons for this. Try opening up the unit and cleaning the lens using a cotton swab and alcohol. Many times that cleaning will resolve the problem. If not, please supply the make and model of the unit and I'll provide additional options.
