You could depending on what is installed. Microsoft recommends atleast 128mb of ram to run XP.
check this page from Microsoft for more info on XP requirements.

The computer BIOS is in english.
The operating system you have installed might not be a english one.
You need to reformat your computer using a english
version of Windows Xp and install this to your laptop.

Now you have your computer in english!!!
This will work!

Windows NT and WiFi????

You can put xp on with no problems - i'm writing this on a cpx with just 128mb RAM and XP. But when you try to use any anti virus you may find it runs very slowly. I'd recommend getting xp and maybe trying a processor friendly anti virus like AVG if you're planning to go online a lot. Hope this helps.

How to upgrade a Dell Latitude CPX - Intel P3 500-650 laptop

I have a CPX H500GT. To get it to run XP Pro to run right, max out the ram. And get a larger harddrive. Xp uses a substantial amount of space.

Software purchase

Hello dazz_hammer,

You can put up to Windows XP. If do, I would suggest to add memory and bigger hard drive.

Or if the pc has Windows Product Key Tag, and what ever the operating system it indicates then you can re-install that operating system.

Hope this helps and good luck.

You might be able to get some more memory for it and a bigger hard drive. Depends on what the model number is.
