Hi there you need to connect the camera & pc via data cord. Then turn on your camera and see the software driver is detect the camera or not. After that let me know,
Yes the camera is supported by Win 7, all you have to do is install the software that comes with the camera on the operating system. The camera also doubles up as a webcam.
try first this ..for to see if the adapter/charger is to blame ..or the camera has a issue or it is the charger plug ... This camera has the possibility to be charged from a computer in the usb mode...so ..connect the camera to the computer with the data cable ...than after you closed all the autoplay and whatever might start on computer ..click on the icon in the tray system ..and select remove ...but leave the camera in ...and on ...and look if it charging...anyway in the usb mode it is charging and may be a way to use it ..and if it does..it means that the charger is burned or the plug do not makes contact well..and either clean or change the plug ..after you measure the charger and see its working ...This way you eliminate them on eby one ...if it charges with the usb cable and powers on ..measn it is ok ..but a issue is with the charger ..and if this seasm to be ok when measured or tried with aanoter device ..than the only thing that remains is teh charger plug ..and you will have to change it .. But , if with the usb cable r ..leaved on ....and off at the time about an hour or two ...and still not powers on ..it is probably another thing much worse ..the board or ..the battery ..and you have to analyze if it 's worth repairing ..
Hello David, This camera has a built in Lithium-Polymer battery. In general these batteries are custom made for the camera, so replacing it with other battery types is not a very good ideea. My advice is to go to a dealer and purchase an original battery for your camera. Unfortunately the web does not give the battery type for this camera, you really need to ask a dealer.
depending on the type of camera, if you hook up the camera to a computer, you can access the main memory and wipe it clean, therefore erasing all pictures. hope it helps!
The D55 appears to be a non-standard Mustek model, probably exclusive to a particular store group or home shopping channel. Mustek don't mention the model at all on any of their websites worldwide that I've been able to search so it's clear that they want aftersales support to be the responsibility of the retailer.
Have a look at the specifications for the identical looking GSmart D50 at the first web address below, if your camera specifications are mostly the same then the D55 is a cut price D50 with a 2.1 megapixel sensor replacoing the 3.1MP sensor of the D50. Note that in many markets the D55 is advertised as a 5.2MP camera and the D50 as a 6.2MP model. Such claims are misleading as they fail to mention that the image has been digitally interpolated to increase the apparent resolution, but it's always a fudge and should be turned off in the camera menu.
If I'm right about the shared basis of the D55 and D50 then Mustek do not support the camera with a Vista driver but you may be able to run the XP driver using XP Compatibility Mode. The second web address shows how to try this but contrary to what Microsoft would have you believe it's frequently unsuccesful.
