Question about Pioneer DEH-P6400 CD Player

1 Answer

Aux and sub settings

I just received a pioneer deh p6400 cd player and cant seem to switch on the aux or sub settings. My sub is connected properly but i cant figure out how to get it running with my stereo. Also, i have the aux extension at the back (rca cord into a female end) and dont know how to get that working. It says in the manual that you hit function, but it is not giving me the options that i need. Any help?
Thanks

You have to turn the headunit off using the headunit (there is a button that says off or power just cant remember which one) once its off and is displaying only the time you hold the function button and all the other options will come up.

Can not get the aux to work on my DEH-p4800 mp

you probably have to turn the aux on... usually with pioneers, u turn the unit off then hold down on either the source or the func. button until the sub menu pulls up,... scroll through until the aux option pulls up and turn it on...

Aux

there is an interconnector to connect this unit to the aux source (CD-RB20/CD-RB10)(sold seperately).
After connecting, press SOURCE until AUX appears in the display.
Press "play" on your ipod.
i sincerely hope this answers your question.

Aux sound problem

It sounds like you've connected to the front or rear audio RCA output.

Pioneer CD players generally don't have a direct auxiliary input like that - what you'll have to do is get a CD-RB10 adapter(it plugs into the CD changer connector on the back, and your cable would plug into that).

Can't locate aux function

Try turning the unit off first - Pioneer manuals are notorious for mentioning this at the beginning of the section, which doesn't really help if you skip to the part that you are interested in.
