Question about Cameras
I bought my Nixon Coolpix s210 camera just 2 weeks ago and have only used it once. When I went to use it today, every time I turned the camera on the lens would go in and out for a few seconds untill the words "Lens error" would come up on the screen. I was wondering what I should do to fix it?
If you just purchased this camera 2 weeks ago it might still be within the retailers return/exchange period, and I would suggest you just exchange it for a new one. This error message should mean that something is obstructing the movement of the lens (i.e. sand), but could also be do to a problem with the lens mechanism itself. If you choose to try and resolve the problem you could try blowing compressed air into the side of the lens to try and dislodge whatever is stuck in the lens. This being said I would suggest instead having the camera looked at by an authorized service technician since the camera is most likely covered under a manufacturers’ warranty, and the repair would most likely be free. I hope this helps!
