Question about Insignia IS-LCDTV32 32 in. Television
Our 15 mo. old son hit our new lcd tv with a plastic toy. When you turn it on, the sound is perfect but there are lines running across the screen in many different colors with no picture.
We were told we need a new "panel" when I talked with a service person on the phone but they recommended buying a new one instead of fixing this one. We've bought a new tv already but my husband is wanting to see if he can't fix this one himself.
What part exactly are we looking for? He took it apart and you can see a visible contact spot and lines on the screen. So we are thinking we need a new screen? We don't know tv repair terminology, so what exactly is the name of the part we need?
Most likly the signal connector is loose or dirty. (input) this would cause the red, gree, blue or a combination to not be connected.
