Question about TDK DA-3826 2-Disc CD Recorder
I bought a used tdk da5700 from craigs list. previous owner said it worked fine for him and to just use music cd-r's. I tried several brands still wont recognize cd-r's to record. error message '"can't record" any help? plays fine on both players though. will cleaning help? if so, clean with what?
Cleaning will not help if it plays fine and does not record.
The previous owner was right, those can only record on "Music CD-R or Audio CD-R" . If it does not have that printed on the disc, it willnot record with it. many people think that a CD-R they use in the computer will work, but they won't. So make sure you are not using a CD-R meant for a computer.
Try using Sony, they work good for me on most all recorders I repair.
If that does not work, you may just need it to be serviced, or take it back to the guy you bought it from and get your money back. He sold you a bad recorder. They are very exspensive to repair most of the time.
Sorry I did not have better news, good luck and let me know if you need any more help.
