Question about Frigidaire ATF6000ES Front Load Washer

Remove the front panel of a front loading washer frigidaire

I have read some things on the site saying I need to remove the front panel of the washer cause I have an E20 error which is a clocked drain pump. So I read that I need to unscrew the 4 screws @ the bottom of the washer. I have done that, but the top part of the washer wont come off. Do I need to remove the rubber wall of the washer door?

thanks

This doesn't look like the best designed machine in the world for getting access to the drain pump.

You aren't going to get in through the front. Don't attempt to remove the door seals (only bad things will come of this!)

Looking at the diagrams in ftp://ftp.electrolux-na.com/ProdInfo_PDF/Webster/5995464004.pdf, I think your best route in is to tip the machine back (careful it doesn't topple onto you) and go in through the bottom.

Your first target is the strainer shown as item 40 on page 6. If that's clear, then look in items 41 and 35.

Use the coins you fish out to buy yourself a celebratory drink.

Hello - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned, or you have another issue with the door lock assembly or the timer and control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

Getting E20 error code on frigidaire front loader. It's 6 years old and has had one main panel board replacement already. Is this the same problem?

You are experiencing a pump issue. Typically a professional is needed to :

1. Check the drain hose for restrictions. Restriction, correctproblem. No restriction, go to step (2).2. Start the washer and checkfor 120VAC at the drain pump.Zero, replace the Main Control Board. 120VAC, remove the pump and checkit for blockage. If blocked, remove the restriction, if not, replace the pump.

From what I have read, I need to clean the filter in my Frigidaire Affinity washer, I believe it is the 6000 model. When draining, the pressure of the water being drained is very low and I have to respin...

You will need to remove the lid by taking out the two screws that hold it down.

Then you will need to remove the screws that hold the control panel in place.then open the door and lift the bottom edge of the door boot to remove the retainer spring. then remove the front panel.

Then once the panel is removed you will be able to see the drain boot that goes to the drain pump.
loosen the clamp and pull the boot down so you can get at the coin trap.you should be able to push the trap up from the bottom of the boot it can be a little finiky but works. after every thing is clean you should be able to put it back together and work just fine

Frigidaire front load, ERR LOC, washer won't run

Just had same problem. After removing boot/rubber gasket around opening, and replacing door lock assembly it still would not work giving the same ERR LOC message! Another site directed me to press the "Options" and "Select" buttons at the same time. BINGO! My husband was quite proud of me!

Frigidaire front load from may of 06 Code E20 Model GLTF 2940ES3

not famil with you model. Most are either pull off or two screws on the lower front kick panel once removed there should be a cap unlock or unscrew to left...counter-clockwise. Some of the latest are only accessible from underneath.First thing to do....bring it out and lean back against wall.. see if pump is attached to front panel to see which way to access it. this will also stop water flow from drum.
