Question about Acer Aspire 3690 Notebook
my laptop tripped out the electic in my house and then it would not power up at all got a replacement power pack now when you switch it on it lights up for 3 seconds you hear the fan then it goes off took battery pack off won't do anything without it not even the 3 second power up can you tell me what the problem may be
More than likely when the laptop tripped the electric it was due to a short in your system. It sounds to me as if the system board in your laptop got fried. I have also seen where the power connector on the board itself has gone bad. Sometimes you can order a new one off of ebay or somewhere but you have to actually solder it onto the motherboard.
