used in Audiovox DVD players. I've burned out two of them in two years. The guys at Radio Shack tell me it's the most common failure on these units, the brushes don;t hold up. My real aggravation is I can't find a replacement motor, and don't think much of spending $200 for a new player every year.

My Memorex MM8500 dvd player won't play a movie. The "open" icon is always displayed in the upper left of the screen and when I insert a movie in the player, it won't play. None of the button will respond, it doesn't do anything. Somebody HELP!!!
