I have DACOR 5 burner gas range. The ignition system is continuously clicking. It clicks on all burners, even while the gas knobs are off. It clicks also while burner is on.
What could be the problem. Could it be one of ignition switches or spark module.

When I start the oven, the stove top ignitors spark, but I don't see any spark in the oven.

In your model, maybe everything sparks when one item is turned on. That might not be a problem.
Two possibilities: The spark board is defective or the gas valve is defective. Each one cost about 150 each. The gas valve is the one that we usually see go first.

Ohms out the gas valve: middle wire to wire on the left; middle wire to wire on the right. If the values are not close or one reading shows 'open' then replace the gas valve.

Hi there- I have three year old KGRC707 gas range. I am shipping it to east Africa (overseas) that has 220V electric standard. wil it work as it did in the US with or without a transformer? also can you...

I see a few problems with the coversion to 220VAC I will send a set of manuals and a phone number. Here is what the instalation manual says about wiring. If codes permit and a separate ground wire is
used, it is recommended that a qualified electrician
determine that the ground path is adequate.
Check with a qualified electrician if you are not
sure whether the range is properly grounded.
Do not ground to a gas pipe
A 120-volt, 60-Hz, AC-only, 15-ampere, fused
electrical circuit is required. A time-delay fuse or
circuit breaker is recommended. It is recommended
that a separate circuit serving only this range be
provided.
Electronic ignition systems operate within wide
voltage limits, but proper ground and polarity are
necessary. In addition to checking that the outlet
provides 120-volt power and is correctly grounded,
the outlet must be checked by a qualified
electrician to see if it is wired with correct polarity.
The wiring diagram is included in the literature
package. The wiring diagram can also be found on
the back of the range.
NOTE: The metal chassis of the range must be
grounded in order for the control panel to work. If
the metal chassis of the range is not grounded, no
keypads will operate. Check with a qualified
electrician if you are in doubt as to whether the
metal chassis of range is grounded.
I was thinking it would help you to know and not have your question unanswered. Good news or bad. Personally I see no problem stepping down the voltage and making a typical receptical. My views do not change requirements so best I follow those that made the eletrical requirements. Another problem is the cycles or hz. HZ is defined like this 1 Hertz = one time per second ad 60 is 60 per second. In europe and most countries outside the USA operate on 220 V @50 hz. A typical 120 V clock would run slower and a record player also. I think it would be better if you use something designed for the local area you are moving to. Oven themostat not set correctly

Your thermomitor may be going or the oven sensor could be the problem. Buy a BRAND NEW thermomitor and put it in the middle of the middle rack and set to 350. After the preheat is done, wait another 10 min and read thermomitor with flashlight through door glass. This will be the MOST accurate way. to tell

Kenmore Elite 790 Range

I can't believe I found this today. Today, my Elite 790 inner coil also stopped working! A little too coincidental.

When I turn on the burner, I can hear like a relay click on, but it does not heat. The middle and outer burners are fine.
