Hi there, checked both upper and lower bolted connections, and check that lift motor hasn't cracked and frame is intact with no blockages to a possible scissor arm-lift assembly underneath the unit ? If this all checks out, maybe a small gearbox on the lift motor failed internally. Good luck.
test the main board, with the output voltage from board for input voltage motor. If there are NOT voltage the board is faulty.replace see the block diagram, how the main boad control about 80% of the machine motion. God bless you
The incline operation and the walking belt operation are independent of each other. The walking belt should run regardless of the incline operation. Although I have never had a problem with the gears in the incline motor being defective, you may need the motor replaced.. Try an incline calibration. With the safety key in place, press start to start the machine. Press incline up. While the numbers are changing, remove the safety key. Release the incline up button. Reinstall the key, the machine should calibrate . After calibration, retry the operation normally. Because the circumstances here are unusual, I would next disassemble the right upright and inspect the wiring harness for damage. During assembly, it is easy to pinch the harness (usually at the bottom of the upright), damaging the wiring to the console. The console may work, the the information may not get to the motor control PCB. The machine may have worked for a period of time before the damage became apparent, the flexing and movement of the frame eventually will eat through the wiring causing a number of unusual symptoms.
Hello. These proform treadmills are prone to the problem you have. Go to http://www.proform.com/ and contact customer support. They should send you free replacement parts as these white metal parts are prone to breaking. Regards, Joe
ps - kindly rate my anser as helpful. thanks.
there is a plastic spacer at the rack area on the incline mtr- this white plastic spacer has broken, only recourse u have is to unplug the white wire on incline mtr, and never have a incline, or replace incline mtr when you find out how much the mtr is you might want to walk with out incline- if you was in my area, I have them cheaper
Check out The treadmill Doc. Fantastic site and great people to do business with. A lot of helpful trouble shooting information for free! I'm betting it is the motor control board. Site will lead you through step by step instructions to check and fix it yourself. I saved a ton of money and with a little know how and good information you can too.
Under the hood there should be a tech sheet with calibration instructions. I have not worked on these for several years or I would rattle off the procedure. If the sheet is still there make sure you put it back in the plastic sleeve for next time..... Eric
Do a Calibration on the treadmill. Take out the safety key. With 2 fingers, hold down the stop button and the speed up or spped plus button. keep holding them down as you insert the safety key, then let go of both.
Press the stop button 1 time, you should see all 0's in the windows, or EP 2P or something weird like that.
Press the Incline up button and then wait. If the incline go up until it stalls then down until it stalls the stops at the bottom, the you are recalibrated, take out the safery key and put it back in to see if all is well. If the incline takes off up again without touching a button, the you have wiring problems or control problems. Call service company to get it repaired.
