I have a kitchen aid KUDS24SE dishwasher that I believe has a piece of glass stuck in the chopper. How do I get to it? I have the impeller out is there a repair manual online somewhere?

Dishwasher says rinse aid is empty when it isn't. Kitchen aid model kuds24se.

This is most likely a faulty sensor. This sensor is usually located inside the dishwasher and can be replaced relatively easily. If you have used the rinse aid recently, you can try running a cycle with it enabled to see if it makes a difference. You may need to manually re-calibrate the sensor according to the instructions stated in your user manual.

Broken glass

It is possible but it can chew up the chopper or impeller. If the dishwasher isn't washing as well as before it may need a new impeller.

Wont drain

Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller & clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps... Please post back for any further assistance.

There is always water left in the drain at the bottom of the dishwasher, which gets sprayed back on the dishes so now my glasses have material on them and it gets baked on in the dry cycle....

Need door latch diagram Kitchen Aid dishwasher (Part No. 9744033)

I thought the metal bar had to be locked into place somewhere in the black latch. This was not the case. I just put the white plastic latch in place in the slot in the door and closed the panel and the metal bar went into the correct position against the black latch.

Kitchen aid dishwasher

Either:
  1. the water does not get into the dishwasher open the dishwasher 3-4 times during cycle, you should see some water at least once, if not - check water valve, water level float and water pressure.
  2. the pump is clogged - there is water, the motor will run but no water is circulated. Check pump filters, check chopper and impeller.
  3. motor in main pump is not working - could be caused by something stuck on the impeller or chopper or could be a problem with the motor itself or control board. Check if line voltage is coming to the motor during wash/rinse cycle.
Good luck,

Kitchenaid dishwaser poor cleaning KUDS24SE

I had the same problem. I determined it was the detergent. After tring several various liquids and powders the only thing that does the job is a detergent that contains enzymes. The one I am currently using is Cascade Action Pacs.
