have got a chipped wii that Ive had for nearly a year now. managed to get my hands on a wii fit today and it wont work

I have the same problem.

It might be compatibility issues between the hardware from the chip and the software used to run Wii Fit. If its this either try getting an imported one or think about getting another wii or taking the chip out.
