When I turned on my Zenith plasma TV yesterday ( we have a sat. dish) the picture came on & then went off shortly thereafter. Now I have sound, but no picture. The other TV on the same sat. dish receiver is working fine & I can switch channels OK on the receiver, but still have no picture and just sound. This TV is only a couple years old & there has been no lightning or other damage. Any clues? Thanks! John F.

I recently had the same problem as well. I called zenith/lg and I bought this model in Jan of 2006. The lady on the phone said they are well aware of the problem. She asked me to have a copy of my receipt faxed over from best buy and then she'll set me up with their repair center. I was barely on the phone with her 10 min. The repair center is coming out next week to fix the tv and all parts/labor are being covered.

It might be one of the power supplies. There are three in this model. One for the sound, one for the video, and one for the computer components. The video power supply is probably shot. They cost about $200 a peice from LG. If there was a "pop" sound when the video stoped, then it might be one of the circuit boards in the back. Yet again, they are three, each costing around $200 from LG.

The problem can be caused by a bad sustain board (Ysus Zsus) , the popping sound is often caused by a capacitor blowing up.
The TV must be taken apart and tested before eventually replacing sustain boards.

my tv has no image, everything else work
I have the same problem. My daughter was watching it one day and all of a sudden, the image went out. Everything else is fine. How can I fix it. It's only 3 years old.
