Check power to the compressor start relay. If power there suspect compressor fault if compressor hot. If compressor cold, suspect start relay. If no power to relay, suspect control thermostat

Refrigerator isn't getting cold anymore

Check if the compressor is running. If not, test for power to the compressor. If the compressor feels very hot, and you hear something clicking, then you probably need a new starting relay which is inside a little box on the side of the compressor. You might have to wait several minutes for the compressor to cool off before it will do its next "click-on" and "click-off" thing. If the compressor is cool, and there is power going to the relay, the overload (next to the relay) could be "open" (no continuity).

Clicking noise not geting cold

The clicking noise could just be a relay and not the compressor. You compressor needs help to get started. To get it going the manufacturer installs a double amount of copper and energises both windings. A common post feeds power to bothe sets of windings. When the compressor reaches top speed a bi-metal inside the relay opens one set of windings. ver time the relay simple malfunctions or burns out. Take at look at this: HERE

Does not make cold, main compartment or freezer, replaced "relay/overload" capacitor (?) but still cycles/clicks off and on - lights on and motors run but no cold.

if clicking off and on I would say . the relay is working but the compressor is not starting . if comp will not start ( no cold ) the fan by the comp runs when the comp runs / but if comp does not start the fan does not know .. if comp runs the lines one is small and other is larger . the small one gets hot enough not to touch.it . not hot no cool . I think you have a compressor problem .. **** hope this helps . get back with me .. //mm

put your hand on the compressor / is it hot or not ? do your hear any clicking or humming /like on an off . you could have a bad relay that starts compressor . very common . and easy to replace .. so if its clicking or not very hot its probably compressor relay ..mm

If the fan was the problem and the compressor is now running , it should start getting cold.

When plugged in, the compressor never kicks on. It just clicks.

If the compressor is getting hot then the compressor is gone. But the price on a relay is fairly cheap so you can at least try it and if it doesnt work then return it and dump the unit. But like I said before when a compressor gets hot it means that the piston is bad and the rings are burnt and the oil is bad in the compressor.
