You can take a dry q-tip and clean off the lens of the laser assy. This is all that a consumer can do. Otherwise take it to a repair shop.

the control knob in shelf stereos from frequent use wear out quickly. contact the manufacture and see if it would be an adventagious avenue to replace the volume control. if not to spendy.

Can i attach my phone to my jvc mx-D301t in anyway?

Any audio device that has a headphone output can be adapted to feed an RCA cable pair for standard stereo to any audio device with a standard RCA input (except one labeled "PHONO"). Get a cable like the one described here: http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10218&cs_id=1021804&p_id=665&seq=1&format=2
and connect it into any available analog input on ANY audio device EXCEPT one labeled "Phono".

I have an old JVC stereo model number MX-D301T. There are two issues with my stereo. First, the volume wheel has stopped working. It is stuck on the highest volume setting and does not change when the...

The volume is probably controlled by an IC that does all the work. It most likely has failed. It's unlikely that the wheel is the cause of the trouble, unless it has broken leaving the circuit fully open. But I think that unlikely.
If the unit has not been used for sometime then the second fault will probably due to the belts turning to goo!

How do i set the clock on my jvc mx-d301t

Hi, I just set the time on my mx-d301t and it goes like this: First you need to put the device to standby mode (red light and the time are showing). Then you take the remote and press first SHIFT button and then CLOCK button (number 1) one after another and the time should start blinking. Next you can set the time by using the SELECT buttons - (number 4) and + (number 5). When the time is right you just need to press SET button (number 8) and the time should stop blinking. There you go, the time is set. -amigo

I've had my MX - D301T for about 12 years. We

There are rubber drive parts used in the cassette mechanism, and over time they wear out. Infrequent use can hasten the rubber failure (similar to how a car's tires can go bad if a car sits idle for a long time). An overhaul by a stereo service shop, a good cleaning and replacement of the affected parts, will bring it back to life.
