TRY INSTALLING THE BASKET IN DIFFERENT
POSITIONS. IF THIS WORKS MARK THE
BASKET IN RELATION TO THE TOP MOUNT.

Omega 8003 does not turn on. Could it be the switch that is defective?

Never oil a power switch. Sounds like a defective switch and if others have the same problem go to the manufacturer website and look for a possible recall or solution.

My lid doesn't seem to fit properly. When I put the top on to cover the screen, it doesn't seem to fit together properly-- the bottom of the chute that you throw the fruit and veggies down butts right up...

Is this a new cover? There is an adjustment. On the bottom of the machine, dead center,
there is an adjustment screw with a locking nut. Unlock the nut and the turn the screw
counter clockwise, this will lower the motor shaft and consequently the blade. Once you
have clearance and install the cover, turn the screw clockwise until the blade contacts the
chute, back it off a half turn and lock her down. This will establish the correct gap between
the chute and blade. Also if your chute is ever chipped or scored by the blade because
of excessive vibration, you can file the chute level and readjust the gap.

Have just bought a secondhand Ruby and replaced the blades and basket - still having problems with the basket collecting pulp (apples) and becoming noisy - unbalanced I assume. When I clean out the basket...

Hi Kathy, we had the same problem. You need to soak you basket overnight (every day) in a chlorinated solution/detergent. This will keep your filter basket clean. Also, make sure you rinse out your juicer if you know you are not going to use it much for a few hours as the pulp will dry up and clog your filter. Since adopting we started doing this we haven't had any more problems.

It won't "go" It seems to be assembled the same as always and I have oranges in the tube and the motor goes on and hums but the blade and sieve don't spin

mcdevito75 here, The Oranges must be in the tube so tight it"s keeping the blades from spinning, turn juicer off nplug from wall, remove cover and unclog the oranges. Reassemble and feed oranges slowy into the juicer.

Sometimes it will spin out of control the lid pops off and its scary! This seems to happen when I juice cucumbers even though I take the seeds out. Yesterday I juiced lettuce leaves, celery (2 sticks),...

DROP THE FILTERS. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES HAVE TO BE FED SLOW
AND STEADY. IF THE JUICER IS OLD THE
GAP BETWEEN BLADE AND CHUTE MAY
BE TO WIDE LETTING LARGER PIECES
THRU AND THROWING IT OUT OF
BALANCE. USING ONE FOR 19 YEARS
AND THEY ARE TRICKY.

It will not turn on, i tried the reset button still no power. How do i fix it?

Check the plug end of the power cord--if the cord is pulled instead of the plug, it can cause breakage of the wires inside the cord. Try pulling the plug from the cord--if the insulation seems to stretch-out, shorten the cord a little(an inch or so) and install a new replacement plug. If cord seems ok, then an internal inspection of the motor area is the next option.

The top white part connects to the motor. You have to buy the whole bottom part. It's not separate.

Acme juicer #6001, has a new blade, becomes unbalanced...

Hello, First, make sure the screw on clamp that holds the blade down is centering the blade correctly. Also make sure it tightens down firmly against the blade. Wiggle the blade to ensure it is mounted securely. If this doesn' fix it try your old blade again. If your old blade works you may have a bad, unbalance blade but I would suspect he screw on clamp knob may be somewhat worn and not securing the blade causing it to run "out of round" when a piece of vegetable pushes on it. If everything looks good with both blades and the blade securing knob it could be a worn bearing on the juicer. Try wiggling the motor shaft and see if there is any play in it. I have an ACME 6001 that is quite old so I wouldn't suspect the bearings are going. One other thing, does the bowl take 3 to 5 minutes to stop spinning when you shut off the motor? If it does then the shaft and bearing are probalby ok

Good luck with it...gary

The blade will not spin when the top piece is secure, & I the inside will not come out to clean

There is a roll pin under the flywheel, I you can get the basket off then you pull up on the flywheel , It is the last part before the motor housing. Once you have that off I think you may find that pin is sheared off. It is a common automotive or bearing house part. push out the old and push in the new pin and away you go. The new pin shoud protrude about 3?16 " on both sides of the pin. I hope this helps.
