Hi,

Do you have a HP 950 printer and want to know how to print a test page ? or are you using a HP 950 Cartridge in your printer and want to know how to print a test page ?

Go to Printers and Faxes and right click on the HP OfficeJet 4110 printer,click on Properties then click on Print Test Page. If the Test pageprints correctly then the printer driver is installed correctly.
If the printer is not displayed in Printers ans Faxes or the Print Test Page does not work then install the printer driver.

These types of severe cartridge errors (i.e. "refer to documentation" / "incompatible cartridges", etc.) typically indicate the internal micro-electronics of the HP #60-61 cartridge are electrically damaged. The cartridge's electrical wire runs at rear and lower side of the ink cartridge, are very delicate and are somewhat susceptible to ink attack over time, which can lead to premature failures. In addition, the older the cartridge the higher the chance of an internal electrical failure due to prolonged ink exposure and subsequent circuit corrosion. I suggest you always run a 'Tap 41' diagnostic test to check cartridges electrical health (this is a forced test); you may also bypass the error (temporarily) on C4600-C4700 models which use HP 60 cartridges. Running a diagnostic test

1. Turn the printer on.
2. Press and hold down the POWER button.
3. Open and close the top cover four times.
4. Release the POWER button.

NOTE: When running the test on an HP Deskjet 3600 series printer it may be helpful to use a pen or pencil to hold down the Power button.

Go to the printer settings through the software given by HP, probably HP solution centre and choose printer settings and further you can go deep to disable the test page at startup.

try Printer Test page
The Printer Test page contains information about printer driver and port settings. The page also contains information about the printer name and model, computer name, and so on.
You can print the Printer Test page from the printer driver.
is it on the network? login to the printer using http://<ipaddress of printer>
other option is to contact hp support online.

Take the test page ( also called : alighnment page ) that always prints when you switch on the printer and place it face down in the scanner.

Then press the scan button on the printer itself.
(this is the button at the bottom of all the buttons on the printer/scanner.)

Make sure that the printer scans the test page.
( sometimes you press the butoon and it doesn't scan )
( it makes a scanning noise when scanning succesfully )


Then it will stop printing the test page ( alignment page ) ever again.

This is a really stupid product feature on HP's part to waste ink and force people to buy more cartriges.
