Sure you can get round it, by first make sure the system detect the device (camcoder) and wait for it to be installed and driven, after this you can now start donwloading your datas into adobe. good luck

The program will not load , error message not enouph memory

Hold the CTRL key down while this software is starting. This process will prompt you to recover the catalog. If you don't see this pop window then try it again as timing this right will ensure you see the window.

If your catalog cannot be recovered then rename the hidden file psa.prf - This file can located under your user profile folder:

Windows 2000 / Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\[username]Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\3.0\Organizer

Vista or Windows 7 - C:\Users\[username]Application Data\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\3.0\Organizer

There may be a couple of things that have gone wrong there. I would say it can be the codecs you have installed on your machine (though this is very unlikely, you might want to install K-Lite Codec Pack just to make sure if you don't have it already - http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm), the computer may not be powerful enough to process the video to a higher quality (make sure you have at least a 2GHz processor and 2GB of RAM), the settings can be different from the video recorded with your Canon video and the settings in your Adobe Premiere Elements (PAL/NTSC, resolution, frame rate etc), have a look in Preferences and make sure they match. Hope this helps.

You can try this "Make older programs run in this version of Windows" using the "Program Compatibility troubleshooter" in Win 7 -> LINK

If it does not work, then you need a newer version 8.

Hope it helps.

Hi. You should at least have 2GB (4GB recommended) of memory when running Adobe Premiere CS4 for a smoother run since it's a very system resource hungry application. Try CS3 or CS2 instead if you don't plan to increase your RAM.

Adobe Premiere takes 15 minutes to load a file

Adobe Premiere Elements 1.0 is not compatible with Vista. You can download a trial of version 3.0 and see if it's something you would consider.

Program switches off

Premiere Elements does not get along with Everio camcorders at all, mainly due to the video format. You can convert the video files to DV-AVI and solve the problem.
