Question about Monster Cable MPA 5150 SS Amplifier
The amp powers on; but when it gets to the 4th channel it turns off; It repeats itself to turn on but once it reaches 4th channel it turns off; i already check all fuses and all are fine; any suggestions?
If the 4th channel is shutting down your amp, is more likely one of the transistors or mosfets is defective. When the power circulates through the circuity and finds a higher then normal current flow, the microprocessor will make the amp to turn off and on again to avoid further damage. This task might not be a DIY since there are a number of measurements to do before narrow it down to a particular defective part.
I would suggest to remove the fuse from channel 4 and see if the amp turns ON.
Let me know if you need further assistance.
