Question about Compaq PC Microphone (Black or Beige) Microphone
My dog took a bite on the headset wire, i repaired the wire and now the headset / mic dont work. Is there a trick to repairing broken wires
After exposing the enameled wires...light a match and burn the enamel off the wires,.careful not to over burn. ...twist the two ends together or (solder) and viola!

The wires are probably enamel insulated. The enamel must be removed, and then the wires properly soldered and insulated. If you do not have experience at this and have the proper tools, it will be a difficult job to do.
Maybe to have this fixed, you can take the headset to a TV service shop, or if you know a tech who will give some time to do this for you. If you have to pay a tech to do this type of fix, the cost may be more than what the headset is worth.
If it is an expensive headset, I would recomend to send the headset to the manufacture to have the wire completely replaced.
