Can you fix the video display on a HP Touchsmart 300-1003?

how you try to attach an external monitor if you have a VGA, HDMI port? if it works the problem is the LCD but I don't think the air flow caused the problem since these all in one are even very difficult to open. Try to correct this blockage but try the first suggestion.

PC get shutdown automatically

It can happen in several cases. Like:1. If your processors cooling fan does not run properly or stops running , your processor gets over heated and will automatically shutdown to prevent damage of your motherboard. In this case check this first, If is runs but not seem so smooth, just clean it- dust can jam the cooling fan.

2.If your heat sink under the cooling fan is not perfectly fit on the processor, cooling fan will not able to cool it and will result your machine shutdown!

3. In case of Bad power supply, it can also happen. Check your power supply.

4.If your machine have defected RAM or became defected, it may happen. In this case you may have blue screen with message before shutdown your machine.

5. If you have operating system of Microsoft Windows, please check your hard drive for virus. Virus can shutdown machine with a common period of time! Damaged OS which occurs often in windows operating system also can force to shutdown machine.
Please check which one is in your case. Please mention problem details like something unfamiliar for further query.

When machine boots.. message of verifying dmi pool comes up and stays on

There are errors and it can't get a reply from the system
Run CHKDSK/F first followed by downloading IObit.com and asc-setup to sort out your registry errors.
That should fix it.

Where can I get a replacement cooling fan for Acer Aspire M-1100

Hello,

The fan can be purchased from any pc repair dealer. If you are able to remove the old fan, take it with you so that you can get the correct size fan.

Good Luck

ERecovery error

Acer....gotta love it...
You aren't alone when looking for help with Acer's framework technology.
What you're going to want to do is use the Msconfig utility to work around this problem. To start msconfig click on Start, select Run, type msconfig in the Run text box then click on OK.

Next select the Startup tab when msconfig opens. Look in the list for eRecovery Service and uncheck it. Select Apply and then OK when done. It will pop a message that a restart is require for changes to take effect. Restart the system.

From what I've read, this may or may not completely fix the INT15 Error eRecovery must be terminated error message. If it doesn't, go back into msconfig/startup and look to see if PCMService has been unchecked. If so, recheck it, select apply and OK, then reboot.

This was all the info I could dig up so I'm not 100% sure if the suggestions are guaranteed to work.

Good luck and let us know if it helped
