Carrier, FC4BNF042 HI there. Any chance you might know if this model has a reset button for the fan? I cannot find one, and it all of the sudden will not turn on. Thanks!

Hi, I have the same system with the same problem. I am looking for a replacement control board for the air handler unit (inside house).
The part number on the board is either 1005-83-162A or HK61EA002.
If/when I find a source for this part, I will post here.
Thanks, James

By the way, it looks like the relay (K1) is the culprit. Access your unit's control board by removing the top panel on the air handler unit (fan coil unit) and you will see the board mounted on the right wall panel. Turn your AC unit on and tap the relay firmly with the **** of a screwdriver; if the fan comes on, sure 'nuff it's the relay. You can either replace the relay or the entire board. The relay can be found at Newark.com, I have no idea where to get the control board online--been looking for half an hour so far online. See above post for control board part numbers.

Check the condensate pump if it is full of water and does not come on that will shut the unit down. And might need a new pump. high efficiency furnaces condensate to squeeze the last amount of heat out of the unit. Seen this problem before. But not being there is a little chance that, that is the problem. let me know and we can go from there. okay ken

What is the blower model for the Carrier Unit FC4BNF042. My unit sounds like something is loose or flapping around the blower and up into the duct work. I believe it is the blower. I took the blower unit...

Hi, when you have a little play from side to side just shows very little bearing wear on the blower motor. In and Out play is normal. Spin the wheel to see if it is true. If the blower wheel has a lot of dirt build up on the blades it will cause it to be out of balance. If it is clean, but warped, take it to a motor repair shop along with the model and serial numbers. Call you're local wholesale a/c parts house with all of your info and they will look this up for you.The numbers that you have listed shows you have a 042 which is a 31/2 ton and 048 which is a 4 ton unit. More then likely, the wheel is out of balance and should be replaced, and they can look up the info you are requesting. Good Luck,

I dont know the password

Default password is 12345
If it has been switched by user, it will have to be broughten in to carrier or you may be able to find a reset button which isn't always available on all models. It will have a pin sized reset button possibly by battery to reset.

Is there a reset button on the outside compressor/fan unit?

Hi,
No there is no reset button "per se" but you can check the fuse box/disconnect to see if the fuse is blown.

Equium M40X freezes

Hi, it seems your experiencing a overheat issue. At least one fan inside your PC has stopped working. The PC monitors internal heat, when the PC reaches a certain temperature it will shut down & or freeze. Chances are it's the CPU fan.
