To make your computer (hard disk) lean and mean, uninstall any programs you do not use.

You don't have to reduce the FAN speed, because the Fan power works in PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). I.E if the CPU processing is increasing due to high process load, the fan speed changes accordingly to maintain a CPU normal temperature.

Disconnect your router for 5 minutes to allow it to reset then plug it back in and you will have more speed. Do that at least once a week to maintain proper speed.

Greetings my friend, regarding on your problem try to see if you have installed and update an anti virus software in your computer/Laptop then if is it installed then run the anti virus and scan and clean all your drives in your computer otherwise install and update your anti virus software. Also try to check also the files that you have stored in your drives. Delete those files in the recycle bin. Also defrage your drives. If you are using Windows XP then follow this: To defrage your drives go to start button then all programs then accessories then system tools and then click Disk Defragment. then follow the steps given by the computer. Reasons why our computer/Laptop runs slow cause of some viruses/worms and overcrowded files particularly picture and music files. Also too much program installed in your computer/Laptop. Need to have a good management systems in your computer to maintain your desire accuracy and speed of your computer/Laptop.
