Question about Lenovo 3000 N100 0689 Notebook
On my Lenovo laptop sometimes the bottom half of the screen will get horizontal lines across it. At first lightly touching the back or left side of the surrounding monitor panel would make them go away but now they are incressingly hard to get rid of and only pressing very hard numorous times on ONLY the left side (not the right side or the back) of the panel will make the lines go away.
It seems almost as if something is loose inside because this often appears to happen when either a, the whole laptop itself is physically moved/jarred or b, when the screen is moved. This is a picture of what it looks like on my screen. The block of white is just a bunch of lines...
Any thoughts on this would be helpful...
First, plug a external monitor and toggle the screen to discard configuration or software problems. If the image displays correctly you have a problem either in the LCD screen or its connection cable.
Open the bezel and check for loose or damaged connection cable. Look specially next to the hinge, ON THE LEFT.
In case the problem is not the cable you might have to get a new LCD. You can have replacement parts and instructions here:
