Question about Gateway Solo 5300 Notebook
Cannot boot up to see bios or use laptop, was given to me but do not have password please help
Is it XP or vista?
If it is a vista depending apon computer like acer/ toshiba's /dell's
winbooks/panisonic/tuff books you can unhook main battery in mother board and reinstall a hard drive and reinstall windows...if it is a xp the same except for IBM'S older models do not unhook batterys it will lock you out and nothing can be done,please be more specific about what kind of computer it is and i can help better linda

During the boot up process you will see on the screen press delete to enter set up
Press either delete or f2 during the boot up process to enter BIOS scroll down to set user password you can change or remove your password from there
