Hi I have a JVC GR-AXM710 that plays back fine, but when put in record it shows a black screen through both the Vf and the flip-out screen. It records audio fine. I have seen many JVC and hitachi camcoders with this fault, it may be the CCD, but I suspect it is some of those wonderful smelly aluminum capacitors gone bad, as it was working perfectly when last used, but sat for a year or two, and those caps seem to go leaky if camera is used or not. Anyone with more camcoder experience who could maybe save me some time with specific caps to check, etc... I would appreciate it greatly.
P.S. I also have an even older GR-AX5BKU with exact same fault.
