Question about Samsung SIR-S4040R DirecTV DTV Receiver / 35-Hours Video Recorder
On one of my tv's I noticed that the picuture was fuzzy. I thought it was just a loose cable. Tightened up all the cables, but still no difference. I finally narrowed it down to the cable box. Could it just be dusty inside?
No, didn't help. It's strictly with the cable box, nothing to do with the tv. I'm going to take the cover off and make sure there's no dust. I think that MAY be the problem.

1. if u can manually tune the channel, and then fine tuning it....
2. if that doesnt work, go to menu, picture menu and decrease the sharpness to somewhere around zero.....

Hello, this is Matthew Gonzales with DISH Network customer service. A fuzzy/distorted picture can be caused by a couple different things. First of all, although your TV is 1080p HD, the 625 DVR is a standard definition receiver so the picture may not be as clear as expected. You should be getting a clear picture, but it will not be HD. First thing I would do is check the cables, making sure that any cables that you use are secured, and not damaged. If possible you may even want to try replacing cables. You can also try performing a reset on your receiver if you haven't. To reset your receiver, you simply unplug it from its power outlet for about 15 seconds, then plug it back in. Your receiver will reboot, which takes about 5 minutes. If you have performed all of these steps, or continue to have the issues, please email me at email@example.com.
