Hi, well this could be caused by a few different things. First one of the most important things to check is airflow out of the dryer, if it doesnt have easy exit of all of the moist air it will take longer to dry. first take the vent hose off of the back and feel if there is air exiting the dryer, it should feel like a fan on high coming out of the vent, if there is, check to see if it is hot at all. if it is hot and blowing fast then you will need to check your vent hose to see if it is plugged with lint. and also if there are many bends and kinks this will slow airflow. If you cant feel any heat it could be that the heater element is not cycling, this would be caused by a faulty thermal fuse or thermostat which both can be tested by and ohm meter and replaced, or it could be a faulty heater coil which can also be ohmed with a meter by putting both test leads on both connectors and checking for continuity. As always these steps should be done after unplugging the unit. These are sometimes difficult tests so if you do not feel comfortable doing these tests you can call your local appliance repair facility. Good luck.

This caused by one of two possible things. Either you have poor air flow, or a clogged vent preventing air from flowing freely and therefor making the dryer short cycle, which in turn will take you two or three times to dry yor clothes, or the heating element has gone bad, burnt in half and is making contact with the case to provide it just enough power to barely heat. The second thing is a very rare occurance. I would turn the dryer on, find out where the air vents out to, and with the dryer running, go to where it vents and check to see if there is a strong flow of air. 9 times out of 10 that is going to be your problem. Another way to check air flow is to just pull the vent off the back and let the dryer run and see if your clothes dry faster. If you do it that way and they still take a long time to dry, then you'll probably need to replace the heating element.

Taking to long to dry clothes

How long does it take you to dry your clothes? Normally, it takes 50 minutes (1 cycle) to 1.5 hours to completely dry clothes. However, if it's taking you at least 3 cycles (probably 2.5 to 3 hours) to dry a single batch of clothes, then, there might be a problem with your dryer's igniter.

LG Dryer takes too long to dry clothes

Sure the outside vent is not clogged up? If so it will overheat and turn it self off and do a poor job of drying the clothes.

Also check and make sure that all of the heating elements are working properly.

Takes long to dry clothes

on your side, it is better you don't touch anything internal in the dryer as you can hurt yourself and spoil the device even more. have a professional take a look at it before you use it any further.

AUTO CYCLE TAKES A VERY LONG TIME, HEAT IS OK, GAS DRYER

First thing I would check is the vent. If you have good heat but it is still taking too long, usually it is caused by a vent that is either too long , kinked or clogged. if the dryer is auto dry and not electronic dry then you will need to gauge weather the load needs more or less dry. If it is just taking a long time for the clothes to dry, more than likely the vent. If the clothes are dry before it is done running then it is more than likely a setting issue. Way out of the box .... are your clothes spinning out dry enough in your washer? do they dry in the normal time on timed dry?

The dryer takes about 3 hours to dry whereas it

make sure the vent hose and outside door flapper is clear. Try drying one load with the hose off to see if its better.

Dryer takes a long time to dry.

This sounds like the vent is plugged up. The dryer gets rid of moisture through the dryer vent and hose. When this gets plugged up it will take a long time to dry or the hi limit will shut it off. When the dryer vent or hose is partialy blocked it will take vary tong times to dry the clothes and will eventualy cause the dryer to stop drying all together.
