Question about Printers & Copiers

1 Answer

I put brand new ink in my officejet 7130 today and no ink still is coming out. I went about a month without refilling it, which I know I should've gotten some ink before it ran out. Is there anything I can do to get the ink to come out?

My problem is that the printer is not recognising that the cartridge in inserted...it tells me "no cartridge" and also "ink empty", i have put 2 brand new cartridges in and it still...

reset the waste ink counter, put black tape on critical ridge of all cartridges and refilled them. All showed full. All was well for 2 sheets, then all 4 cartridges are showing as near empty on LCD also on software monitor program. Whether or not they are near empty, how does the printer know with the light beam blocked? I have made filling holes on each cartridge (sealed with rubber plugs) so that I can refill without removing them. Doing this is not going to change the readout.
My expert TIP: Buy a new printer. Printers today are as just as expensive as a set of printer inks. Printers have heads and they get dirty over time and might need replacement, which is all the more expensive. Try buying ink advantage printers, they DO indeed save money. Or try looking for somebody who knows how to modify your printer to a CIS (Continuous Ink Supply) printer.

Ink refilling is done by many refillers.so better you just go to refill there.because ink price are verry high, also the inks are wasted within 6 months.if you need to know about the ink refilling just visit the web address:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayschOFzwP4 and

Supply expired

Printer-inks have a "for-best-results-use-this-cartridge-before-MONTH-YEAR". Is that what you mean as "expired" ??

Or, do you mean that the ink-cartridges are now empty, and need to be refilled or replaced?

Streaking effect during printing Officejet 7130

As you have replaced the both cartridges and still the issue persists, then this is a hardware issue with the unit. Please repair your printer.

Printer sat a year without ink cartidges, now wont print

Leaving inkjet printers alone for a long time generally results in the print heads getting clogged. Try cleaning them by following the steps on this page. If this does not work, you may need to replace them.

Good luck! :)

Trying to reload color cartridge.

Many brand name printer cartridges have a code that tells the printer they are a new cartridge. Once the cartridge is empty it will never again tell the printer that is it new.

You can refill the cartridge but it will continue to tell the printer that it is empty.

You say you "had my ... cartridges refilled today" so I suggest you go back to the folks who refilled them and ask them for suggestions.

Otherwise, purchase off-brand cartridges that won't tell the printer they're empty and keep refilling them as needed.

Another approach: purchase a new printer that won't give you this problem. I refill my Lexmark cartridges without any problems.

My yellow ink ran out and I finally replaced all inks this evening. Now, with all new inks, I keep getting a message that the yellow needs to be replaced. Any suggestions? I've turned off the printer,...

I had the same problem with mine but I bought a refill cartridge instead of a new one and went through three refilled cartridges when I found that it was that I needed a brand new one. For some reason, the HP printers and some other printers need to know that you are using the same brand of ink as the printer. if it is another brand it wont except it and it wont let you print anything! So make sure it is a brand new hp brand ;)

I changed the ink in my officejet 7130 and it still says the cartridge needs to be replaced. When I check ink supply it reads that the cartridge is full. It wont align or clean the print heads.

If things were working before you replaced the new ink cartridges, the chances are that the new cartridges are defective. This is common for aftermarket and refilled cartridges. The aftermarket ink has probably clogged the nozzles. The simple solution is to replace the cartrtridges with OEM cartridges, run the nozzle cleaning utility an number of times (suggest 3x) and align the printheads. This should clear your printer problem.
Please let me know if this works for you. Thanks.

It say supply expired change color ink i put brand new cartridge still saying the same thing

One possible problem is that the new cartridge has an expired date. According to the manuel, the printer cannot use an expired cartridge. Check the date on the cartridge. Good luck. I am hoping to get a refund from Staples because I bought an expired cartridge.
