Usually the top vent front panel is held in by two screws and or clips, Get those off and the bottom of this peace should un hook, unless there are screws there also. if you can get this far, the rest will be obvious.

Hi,i have a lofra max maxima oven and my stove, which i control by touch isnt responsing to me.please is there any solution?

Here is something to try:

This is from Lofra manuals

It's possible to lock the selected functions by keeping the "Key" button pressed . An acoustic

and flashing warning will activate whenever any changes to programmed function are tried to be

made. By activating this function it's possible to switch the Electronic Module off while the

function controls remain active. To deactivate the lock keep the "Key" button pressed a second
time.

If you still have your owners manual look up child lock. If you do not have a manual and the oven door is unlocked I really need a model number.
Thanks,
Kelly

The fan will not turn off

Hi, this means that one of your 3 door switches is faulty and isn't detecting that your door is shut. You'll need to remove the control panel and try to determine which switch is either not being activated when the door is shut or which switch isn't working correctly and then you'll need to replace the switch.

Kenwood Microwave oven CJ/AL28 The turntable is not rotating. Have tried moving the piece underneath glass and it is locked in position. How can I resolve this issue? Many thanks S. Heal

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly.
POWER OFF / UN-plugged
To gain acces to the motor the outer chassis must be removed. 4 side scews and 6 rear screas.. then life the rear of the outer cabinet 10 degrees and slide it aft to unlock the front tabs. Then remove the cover. Before you do anything; take a good screwdriver held by the handle and ground the HV capacitor 3 times across the 2 terminals to prevent a horrible shock.

The turntable motor will accept input (0utlet) power when disconnected and a test cord connected to the turntable motor PN TYJ5807A. Some of these are 24 Volt motors... make sure you look on the motor to determine the voltage. You can test the motor for resitance on R x 1,000 scale. I should read resistance to the 2 terminals only and NOT to the case. If it reads from either terminal to the case the motor has failed. The windings in these motors are MUCH thinner than human hair. http://www.buyspares.co.uk/search.pl?query=TYJ508A7
or
http://www.4kenwood.co.uk/cgi-bin/product.pl?PID=944115

Take a good look at the motor drive post and make sure it matches yours. I could not find an exact parts break down for the CJ/AL28 but most turn table motors are common in a brand.

Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Range controlpad is no working, is showing SA6& each burnershows 56 orS6

Hi and
SA (burners off) is a door lock switch A problem. The switch has to be checked for 0 resistance across the terminals. If it has resistance then there is another resitance check to look ofr 2350 Ohms between pin 5 in plug P4 and terminal N. If the meter reads zero or infinity the lock motor or the wiring to the lock motor is defective. If the meter reads 2350 Ohms replace the electronic oven control.

This is per page 97 of the service manual: (C/P)

http://frigidaireservicetips.com/pdfs/477_5.pdf

Remove power from the range and go to the back of

the control and disconnect the P3 plug. Measure

the resistance between pins 3 and 4. If the meter

reads infinity check the oven door switch and the

wiring to the door switch. If the meter reads zero go

to step 2.

2. Measure the resistance between pins 1 and 3 of

plug P3. If the meter reads infinity switch A of the

lock motor assembly or the wiring to switch A is

defective. If the meter reads zero go to step 3.

3. Measure the resistance between pin 5 in plug P4

and terminal N. If the meter reads zero or infinity

the lock motor or the wiring to the lock motor is

defective. If the meter reads 2350 Ohms replace
the electronic oven control.

GE xl1800 active vent bulb replacement

I think the key is pulling the vent to the left.

From page 36 of the online version of the owner's manual, which also mentions the active grille's presence on some models:

Oven Light

Replace the burned-out bulb with a 120 volt, 20-watt
halogen bulb (WB36X10213), available from your
GE supplier.

To replace the oven light, first disconnect the
power at the main fuse or circuit breaker panel
or pull the plug.

Remove the top grille by taking out the screws
on top of the grille that hold it in place and
sliding the grille to the left (opening the door
makes grille removal easier).

Next, remove the light cover.

On some models, the light cover is located
in the center of the top opening. Remove the
screw that secures the light cover and lift the
cover off.

On some models, the light cover is located at the
left of the top opening. Lift the cover off.

Pinch the clips that hold the light socket in
place and lift the socket out.

Remove the bulb from the light socket by
pulling straight out. Replace with the same size
and type bulb, then replace the light socket and
cover.

Replace the grille and screws. Connect electrical
power to the oven.

Our microwave is a GE Spacemaker, Model # JVM1630WB004, mfg. in Mar, 2001. Just today it suddenly decided not to function other than the light in the oven coming on when activated, etc. It does not cook...

If your microwave oven doesn't seem to work at all, check these:

Fuses
Usually, when your microwave oven doesn't work it all, the internal fuse (thermal fuse) is blown. This fuse protects both you and the oven. When it blows, you need to have a qualified appliance repair technician replace it.

Door switch
If the fuse isn't the problem, check the door hooks and the door-release button. When these are broken, the door switch doesn't activate, so the oven can't work.
