Question about Pasquini Livietta Espresso Machine
I got this great little Livietta Machine (older Model # 8912215 from a friend who moved away) and was so happy. Now I tried to make an espresso, but
no coffee comes out. The machine is ready, milk steams perfectly, but
when I switch the right button with the cup above it, the machine beeps like an old steamer and sounds rather like it wants to explode. Some drops coffee come out and that's all, the beeping does not stop.
I practically grew up with espresso machines in Germany and thought I can handle almost any machine, but this is a mystery to me. What can I do? It seems to me like the machine tries to "soak" water through the system, but somehow does not get any, even though the water tank is filled. Is this a general Pasquini problem or is something blocked?
I would be so happy if somebody can help me. Does anybody has experience with this problem? Thank you! Chef Ursula
This is confusing to me. This is called priming the pump and not releasing air.
The noise you were experiencing could be from the grind of your coffee is too fine not allowing proper water flow. Remove the portafilter/handle, push brew button - and if the water comes down like rain, there is nothing wrong with the machine - it has to do with the grind, and your grinder may need a adjustment.
If you have a problem with a Pasquini machine, I'd recommend only relying on authorized Pasquini service centers.

Thank you I solved it myself! I found the manual on a German website for my older model Livietta, in Germany called "Maximatic" and followed the instruction. The pump had some air in it and needed to be "released". That was it what caused the horrible noise. Now the machine works just perfect!
