Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
I am asking this question for my boyfriend who lives overseas now. He has a DV 9700 Laptop notebook and he has typed a document and saved it. Now he wants to make changes to the document, but cannot gain access. He has stated that a message keeps popping up stating This modification is not allowed, because it's locked. He also told me that he has even tried creating a new document but the same message pops up. Can you help
The problem is that user name he changed and the registered user name is not the one now, you have to choose the old username or user who created the file first he can only edit or open and its a security issue. Try to right click and choose properties and make it readonly then open and select all copy it and create a new file and paste the content and save it

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
