If your phone is paid off, and you have or had an account in good standing, you should be able to get the phone unlocked online. You'll need the phone number and the IMEI number associated with the phone. This number is often available through the screen menus, but is also printed on the phone, perhaps underneath the battery on the inside. Go to http://www.att.com/deviceunlock to start, accept the terms, and enter the information. It takes a day or two.
The texts should be saved to the sim card on this phone, and can be extracted by putting the sim into any other ATT phone. The lcd has broken on the phone during the drop, and can only be fixed by installing another LCD, however given the age of the phone, buying another phone would be more cost effective.
hello tina cassieo4 with all lg phones you can use the front screen. First tajke down this number =. 1-866-406-5154. if you dail from your cell phone you don't need the one. Ok now if you hit the meun key it will bring up a alist of functions that are in icon from. SCroll to your right and it dhould go the message icon and the give you some options. Now the number i gave you up above is to verizons warranty center. Letthem know that you can't access any of the functions on the inside of the screen. Next tell them that you done a soft reset . If they tell you that you have to go into a verizon corp store. Say you want a replacement phone send to you. okay. The env3 has been retire by verizon but you can still get a replacement phone
Check the battery if it needs to be replaced. Borrow same phone from a friend and use your battery on the other phone and check if it will turn on or will just do the same thing and shut off after the ATT... if it did the same thing...replace your battery.
My phone is doing the same thing. My phone hasn't been dropped or exposed to any liquids, but the screens are not working. LG suggested that I send it to them. If they can't fix it, they will just replace it. The only thing I have to pay for is sending it to them. I can make and receive calls but I can't read text messages which is why I mainly got the phone. Just send it to LG Wireless. Call them and they will give you a number that has to be attached to the package and the phone. Within two weeks, they will fix it or replace it. I had to get my LG 8500 replaced, and it was no problem.
