    Check the first post that you rated inappropriate because YOU didn't supply the model #. Please do the right thing and change the rating as I've supplied the appropriate part for your model.

    In fact, I gave him the same cord as you did because he didn't specify the model lol. But here I'll rate your solution based on his question.

Do you have the model # of the monitor? (usually is on the back)..

Most monitors few exceptions use the following power cord:

1. Verify the monitor's power cord is plugged firmly into the wall outlet and the back of the monitor.
2. Verify the monitor cable is firmly connected to the computer and the monitor.
3. Verify that you have turned the monitor power switch on.
4. If the power light on the monitor is not on, test the wall outlet (plug in a light or something you know works).
5. If the power light on the monitor is not on, try a different power cord.
6. If the power light is on and yellow or flashing, but nothing displays, or the display is incorrect, borrow a monitor from a friend. If that works, your monitor probably needs replaced.
7. Also, you could try your display on a friend's computer. If it doesn't work, your monitor probably needs replaced. If it works properly on your friends computer, the problem may be with your computers video output port, motherboard video chip (or video card, if you have one), or drivers.

Monitor STFC (Self Test Feature Check)
* Turn off the monitor
* Plug the monitor power cord directly into the wall socket to remove any surge protectors or APCs from the troubleshooting equation
* Unplug the monitor video cable from the back of the computer
* Turn on the monitor
* The floating dialog box should appear on screen against a black background. If the issue appears during the STFC, the monitor is defective. Get it replaced.

Benq 567s lcd monitor does not power up. Switch led blinks but goes dead. Tried replacing capacitor 450v 82uf with 400v 100 uf but did not work. please help.

That cap is for the Primary power supply switching circuits. How is the DC secondary side, no blown fuse, shorted transistors in the inverter circuits? Pictures will help, budmrtn@aol.com

It may have the same bd as DELL since BenQ makes monitors for DELL and HP.

BenQ fp737 monitor

Disconnect the signal cable from CPU and power on.You should get a BenQ Blue screen.
If no Display,Problem is definitely monitor related ie monitor has a hardware defect most probably the power/invertor board has a few blown components.
If you are technically able,you can dismantle monitor and check components on the Invertor board which you may find on my other posts.
Please reply if you need more help.Please rate this solution.
Thanks.

Power Cords for a monitor

Most monitors take this one. However, a lot of LCDs take a specialized power pack / power cord. If this isn't the one, please supply your monitor model and I can find you the right one.

Moving Horizontal Lines on LCD Computer Monitor (Windows XP2)

Hi,

It is possible that what you are seeing is 60 cycles AC hum, but then again it may not.

Perhaps you can try increasing your Screen Refresh Rate to any other setting other than 60 Hertz. (Display Properties/Settings/ Advanced/Monitor)

If that does not work, you may need to check your wirings and/or the power supply of the monitor with particular attention to the filter/power capacitor.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
