This toshiba that is discribed in the subject has been working properly. I left it in my room and went out of town for work. I stayed for about three months. When I returned last week, the pc was put on and while working in MS Word, the PC froze. I cut it off and back on. It froze after some minutes and keep freezing.
The harddrive was formatted and operating system changed from windows XP service pack1 to pack2, it continue to freeze and formatted again and change to Pack3, it still freezing. Please help me.
This could be due to a bad memory chip, or an overheating problem as the fan isn't working properly. First start by removing the service pack three, it has some issues and has been known to cause software conflicts. Service pack two is just fine. Then, if the problem persists, check to see if the fan is working and running in regular intervals, then the memory.
Dead PC
Possibly a RAM issue or errors on the
hard drive stopping the display driver from working properly. Remove
power sources, remove RAM and hard drive. See if you get a display
when the power adapter is reconnected. If you do, remove power source
and fit RAM, (if not motherboard may be faulty). Repeat and if still
working, remove power, fit Hard Drive and boot again.
Assuming
your OS is Windows Based;
Reboot and use safe mode run CHKDSK/F
and when finished check the drivers.
Hope that helps.
