In my n5200.if i want to clear the packet data counter in the log category, i am asked to enter a security code. i have tried 0000 but to know avail.please what is the solution to this, is there a kind of master security password that i can use to reset this

Steps to perform Master Reset
All configuration settings will be set back to their factory defaults. Personal data and downloaded content, however, will not be lost.

  1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.
  3. Scroll to and select Phone Settings.
  4. Scroll to and select Reset Settings.
  5. Select Master Reset.
  6. Select Yes.
  7. Enter Security code, then press OK. The default security code is 0000.

Steps to perform Master Clear

  1. From the standby screen, press Menu.
  2. Scroll to and select Settings.

  6. Select Phone.
  7. Select Yes.
  8. Enter Security code, then press OK. The default security code is 0000.

Warning!: While reset/restore operation under process, you are advised not to remove your battery until the operation is completed and cellphone restarts otherwise phone damage may occur.

Hi, please open the Menu>Log Menu and select Message Log. Then, select Clear all counters. The phone will ask for Security Code, enter the security code as 12345. That's it, the Recently used contacts will be cleared.

There is no reset button. In order to reset phone, you can perform following steps.

Steps to perform Master Reset

Performing this function will reset all user-defined settings on the device.

  1. From the standby screen, tap the Menu icon > Settings > More > Reset Settings > Master Reset.
  2. Tap Yes after reading the warning.
  3. Enter Security code, tap OK. The default security code is 0000.


Steps to perform Master Clear

This will erase all data (pictures,address book,any downloaded content) and reset any user defined settings on the device.

  1. From the standby screen, tap the Menu icon> Settings> More> Reset Settings > Master Clear.
  2. Scroll to and select Handset.
  3. Tap Yes after reading the warning.
  4. Enter Security code, tap OK. The default security code is 0000.

THERE ARE TWO METHOD TO DO FORMAT NOKIA HANDSET.
  1. MANUALLY.
  1. OPEN MENU>SETTING>PHONE SETTING>FACTORY SETTING.
  2. PRESS O.K. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE YOU LAST ALL YOUR DATA PRESS O.K.
  3. IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER CODE( DEFAULT CODE IS 12345).
  4. PRESS OK IT WILL DO FORMAT YOUR PHONE.
2. USING CODE.
  1. DIAL *#7370# ON MAIN SCREEN.
  2. A MENU WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING PHONE.
  3. PRESS OK IT WILL ASK FOR CODE ENTER 12345 AND PRESS OK
  4. IT WILL DO FORMAT FOR YOU.
3.METHOD NO.3(FOR S60 SERIES MOBILE)
  1. SWITCH OFF YOUR PHONE.
  2. WHILE SWITCHING ON PRESS THREE BUTTON AT THE SAME TIME.(1.GREEN DIALING KEY 2.*KEY,3 KEYPAD NO. 3 KEY) WITH POWER ON BUTTON.
  3. A MESSAGE WILL POP UP LIKE FORMATTING. HOLD BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS AND RELEASE THEM AFTER THAT.
  4. YOUR PHONE WILL RESTART AND ALL YOUR DATA WILL BE GONE

To hard reset of your cell
Type 1809#*500# & select reset option which restores the factory settings. A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes. It it asks security code then enter 0000 it will take some time and your handset will be restored to original settings.

or try this to Reset Default
From the standby screen, press Menu
Scroll to and select Settings
Scroll to and select Reset Settings
Scroll to and select Master Reset
A confirmation screen will appear, select Yes.
It it asks security code then enter 0000

Your problem will be solved.

I forgot the lock code on my application log-packet data-clear packet data...i entered 12345 code..because they say that., this code are the default code for nokia users...my phone is nokia 6120c
hi,

right that code is the default for nokia. maybe your unit lock code is change that is why it will not accept it.

your lock code can be viewed using gadgets to fix mobile phone and purchasing it is costly for just that purpose. To save time and $$$, just have your unit serviced at your nearest service center.
