If you have a Vienna then you have a screw in the right corner you have to take off, after that you have to make sure the cable under the machine is loose. On the right side you should stick in a screwdriver between the base and the top, do a **** down and the chassis is loose and you can take it out.

Changed door switch. tried to start but doesn't work, door lock light comes on then goes off. does not start.

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

If you have just replaced the switch then the complete door lock-switch assembly needs replacement. If you have already replaced it completely then it is the system control unit causing this problem and needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

hi yes, you can try adjusting the striker pin that the door closes on, this might be loose or just pushed back a bit, just adjust it forward a few mill at a time then tighten it...

My dishwasher won't start when closed. I believe either the strike plate bent or the start switch is broken. How do I tell and how do I repair

not shur what the "strike plate is" but any ways
most common problems come from moving parts thus check your safty switches
you will need a volt metter and knowledg of how to properly operate it.
if working with line voltages (110-120Vac) you can jerry rig a lamp and some wire leads (not recomended)
befor i countinue is it under waranty? if so use it, as atempting to fix an electircal isue means disasembling the entire unit

1) ok check make shur it's pluged in & breaker isn't blown
2) still nothing is water supply turnt on? some units prevent operation if there is no water presure.

3) check the line fuse

still nothing disasemble and find the door closed switch and latch switch
visualy inspect to see if thy are being tripped when closed
abuse could have broken a plastic part on the switch asembly
switches are reciving movment check thos switches with your voltmeter using a continuity test "this should be done with no power to the unit & the switch leads disconected "
i recomend taking a close up photo of the wiring if there is more then 2 leads going to the switches.

if your switches test ok in all operational postions
the problem is in the more complex circuitry.
80% of curcuit failurs will be visiable to the naked eye look for bur nt components black charing circuit paths on the pcb blown off or cold solder joints (looks like cracks)google "cold solder joint" for an image.
if it is completly integrated controll its junk unless you can find a replacment board end of story
for future refrence include make & modle #
hope i have helped you

Which sensor do you go off when wiring in a manual switch for the fans?

This varies depending on your model of bike. Typically, the temperature sensor (technically, a thermostatic switch) that controls the fan is located somewhere on the radiator of the bike (Honda VFR, for example), or near the water pump (Aprilia Mille).

Make sure you understand the fan circuit before trying to wire in a manual switch -- some thermo switches turn on the fan by shorting the circuit to ground, while others complete a circuit supplying positive voltage to the fan.

1994 buicklesabre passenger rearview mirror

you will need a pad puller and a 10 mill. socket also a 15 torq bit take the switch plate loose with a nylon bone or a screw driver disconnect all the wires be careful the power mirror switch still has power to it as does the seats. where the inside door handle is take the torq bit and remove the screw then remove the plastic piece there you will have to disconnect the lock if power door locks now go to the rear of door pad and remove the reflector lamp with the nylon bone or a screww driver stick it in at the bottom and push down the reflector will start to come out now use a 10 mill socket to remove the bolt go to where the switch plate is and remove two 10 mill bolts now take the pad puller and start removing the xmas trees around the door pad be careful they are set in cardboad you don't want to rip it. also if it is an older car the inner feather will stick to the door pad that is okay don't try to seperate it you will tear up the door pad. Now disconnect the rest of the wires for the courtesy lights.
