Re: black box on TV screen
You may have to go through the main menu although this is unusual not to have a button for CC.
Look for the abbreviation SAP; if it is there, that is likely the menu for CC and Text as well as 'Second Audio Program.'

Turn off closed captions. There might be a CC button on your remote or TV you can just turn it off or change the settings for it. Usually they are CC Always On, On when Mute, CC Off , but it could go through various lists of types of captions first too
Press the cc button on your remote control. You want cc to be off. Play around with the cc button to become comfortable. Press it over and over again. Observed that a different closed captioning option appears on your screen each time you press the cc button. Now press cc and when it says cc off do not press the button anymore.
is very simple u have active the close caption mode on ur remote control , this happen sometimes , on ur remote control look for a botton that it said cc or caption or cc mode press this botton till it said on the screen on ur tv cc off or u would see c1 , c2 but u whanto have the one that it said off and that would fix this black box on ur screen
That sounds like a text box. Press the cc button and keep pressing it. You will see different closed captions options on your screen each time you press the button. Finally when it says cc off stop pressing the button and you should no longer get the black box. If you have a cable box connected you may also have to disable the captioning on it.
