Question about Samsung LN-T4665F 46 in. LCD Television
Have you thought about fencing off, or locking the door, to the area to keep the toddler away from the TV set? This would be my solution.
Some of the manufactures have a screen protector that will fit on to a set. These are very expensive because they are of optical quality to not show any colour tinting or have minimum possible light reflection. I have seen some in the price range of about $400+. For this, you could contact the manufacture or the place that sold you the set.
What I can suggest is to go to a glass re-finisher, and have him custom fit a piece of clear high quality acrylic sheet in front of the set. He will have to custom make you some brackets to be able to hang the sheet in front of the set. It will not be opticaly perfect for your set, but you can leave it on for general watching.
Be prepaired to spend at least a few hundred dollars or more for something custom made. In any case, the cost will be much cheaper than replacing the TV set. LCD screens are very fragile, and can be easily damged by just simply touching them too hard.
